The first four shows couldn’t have been any more different than these.
While I was waiting on Chris at Hamburg’s main station, I looked at some graffitis on the trains passing by. I’ve always loved how graffiti can put a little more color into an otherwise dull environment. Thanks for putting a smile on my face yet again.
Meeting Chris after quite a while was great and he seemed less tired than me despite his 700km trip.
Arriving at Schwarzenbek’s Korona, I met John Allen for the first time. I’ve heard a lot due to the fact the two of us being label mates, but this was actually the first time we ever played a show together.
In between the sets of three of us, there was a reading of Irina, so sorry I forgot the surname. There were black sofas put in the room and it all had a kind of living room atmosphere without people knowing each other.
I really digged the sets of Chris and John and I guess the people were into it as well. To me they were hard to read.
Markus and all his great helpers did a fantastic job in making us feel good! Thanks for everything!!
Having played in Emden three times this year, I knew my way around. However, Sascha and Thomas took us on a short walk to the Delft and onto a great old ship. That was quite a highlight of the trip!
The show that evening was the next highlight! Everybody seemed so enthusiastic and it really transformed into a great time with a lot of singing along and laughter! So great!
Hanky thanky to each and every person who came out that night and made it such a memorable show!
The next morning we had to get up early to be at the Minerva Murmelteesalon in Kiel. If you have never been here, you need to go! It’s done of the best cakes and cupcakes ever!!
It was a very quite show compared to yesterday and the three of us played completely different, more quiet sets, which was great fun.
Kiel is as far north as Chris has ever been, so he felt great! He killed a giant snake and took a sun bath…
Farewell Kiel, farewell Minerva, farewell John. We miss you already!
After our northern trip to the coast, we made our way to Hameln. The whole evening was so delicious! Nicole prepared a great chili sin carne and some of her guests brought wonderful food as well. It was just wow!
Chris and me were quite tired but everyone was so wonderful and nice, we had a great evening. I drank a lot of cola and the concert was really beautiful. I could’ve just sit there and watch and listen Chris play all evening…
See you tomorrow in Leipzig. Chris and me are looking forward to meeting Owls By Nature!!
