When you spent half the night in a hospital, in a town 600 km from the place you consider home, you think about things. Here’s what I came up with:

What the hell am I doing here?

The usual Facebook post you read is a positive one. Even after driving 700 km in 8.5 hours to play for 6 people, you’ll read something along the lines of:

“Had a wonderful time in city x, thanks to promoter y, see you in city z.”

And this is not even untrue. We played a wonderful little show in Solingen for 6 people. Renee took great care of us and we instantly felt home. It was a beautiful day!

And still you sometimes wonder, where is this going? I mean probably it’s just because I’m in a miserable state, or better was yesterday.

I pulled a muscle in my back and couldn’t move, stand, or lift my head until they gave me those pain killers. I’m good now I guess.

I’m sorry for this miserable post!

I’m just always trying to be honest, even when social media probably isn’t the best place to be honest.

You know, I’m actually a happy person very content with the state I’m in. And you know what, the show yesterday was great fun! And I thank Hotze and especially Fabi for fetching me at 3 o’clock from the hospital.

Plus, I’m totally looking forward to the show tonight in Heidelberg, even if I can only move like an old grandpa.

I’m looking forward to going into the car with the wonderful Adam Rubenstein. I truly think that the world will be a better place if we all listened to his records, that are genius by the way!

I love this life so I better keep going!

Best regards,

Zeki Min

P.S.: the records on my chest are for the ambulance guys. Just in case you’re wondering
